失う悲しみ

　交通事故がきっかけで重い障害を負った子を懸命に支えてきた夫婦－－妻は日本人、夫はイギリス人－－が、５才の子の死後、遺体をリュックにつめて、崖から飛び降り自殺したという事件。
　「心中」という日本的な事件(※１）がイギリスで起きたわけですが、子を亡くした親の悲しみの深さは共感をもって受け止められた(※２）ようです。
